Getting Organized

Posted in Learning, Organizing at 4:23 pm by learningcatalyst

This past month I have been doing something that I last did about 5 years ago. I’m switching my day planner system. I’ve been using a Franklin Covey Junior binder system for several years.  I use a Blackberry but I’ve never been able to get away from writing my to-do lists out.  It is the tactile aspect of paper.

The one thing I didn’t like about the Covey system was the size and weight of it.  I carry a lot in my bag as it is.  So, I started opting out on carrying my planner more and more.

I had a friend make me one and it is beautiful but I can’t add pages to it so I didn’t get very far with it.

Then I discovered Circa systems from Levenger.  My system arrived and although it is taking a little getting used to I am enjoying the size of it.  And I love that I can add pages.

I’ve also discovered that there are other people who think way too much about this stuff.  I’ve got a whole community of people over at DIY Planners.

I love being organized. Now if I could only get on with being productive.  That would be progress!
